As the school year is coming to an end, seniors are starting to say goodbye to their classmates and looking back on their favorite memories.

Although many are excited to graduate, it is not doubtful that there were many special moments throughout the four years in high school.

Special moments are usually shared with a best friend.

“My favorite high school memory was when I met my best friend Jenna,” senior Samantha McCoy said.

Senior Beth Rayne also agreed that her favorite memories from high school came from hanging out with her best friends.

“My junior year was the best year for me because I got to hang out with a lot of cool friends like [Ocean Cheng],” Rayne said.

Others like senior Elyza Espinosa attribute their favorite memory with an event they did at school.

“My favorite memory was playing for the Seussical last year,” Espinosa said.

Seussical was a musical that Northwest students performed last year. Some students like Espinosa were chosen to play their instrument for the musical.

Friday night football games and homecoming with friends are some events many students won’t forget. These Friday night lights have led to fond memories in the seniors’ eyes.

“My favorite high school memory was being on homecoming court,” senior Brooke Edwards said. “I really enjoyed it and I thought it was a really good experience to dress up and go in front of my peers.”

Sports play a big role at Northwest. There are many sports like soccer, football, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, golf, tennis, volleyball and more. Trying out for teams and bonding with teammates whether it is through wins or losses are memories many students will not forget.

“My favorite high school memory was joining the lacrosse and field hockey team at Northwest,” senior Temple Sizemore said.
