How to dye Easter eggs at home!

Easter is a great family time, and dying Easter eggs is a fun thing to do. Here are some tips to have the prettiest eggs ever.

Pick up supplies

First, you need to grab some supplies from the store:

  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring

Step 1

Put half a cup of water in a microwave-safe bowl. You need to heat it long enough so that it boils for about a minute and a half.

Step 2

Mix the boiled water with 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 10 to 20 drops of whatever color food coloring you would like in a cup.

Step 3

Dip the hard cooked eggs in the dye for about 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon, wire egg holder or tongs to add and remove eggs from the dye.

If you don’t want just a simple color, you could tape a design onto the egg and then follow the instructions. Once it is done, peel the tape off, and you will have a pretty design. For example, you could use a piece of scotch tape to make a heart or a cross.
