Spring Break is a time to get away and have some fun. Lots of people choose to go to the beach to escape regular life.

Here are some fun options near and far for the best Spring Break escape, whether your goal is relaxing and tanning, shopping and exploring or looking for sports adventures:

COZUMEL, MEXICO. The weather in Cozumel is amazing because it is so hot there. The water is clear and blue, which makes the beach even more beautiful. It’s known for being a great place to scuba dive because of the coral reef system. It’s also a budget-friendly destination compared to many other international beaches.

HONOLULU, HAWAII. Honolulu is known as one of the best beaches to surf the pipe. Waves are huge there, so surfing is popular. Watching incredible surfing can be entertaining. It’s a big city with lots to do off the beach, too. There are some amazing restaurants you can eat at like Merriman’s Honolulu, Istanbul Hawaii and Sweet K’s Cafe.

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA. Daytona has a great vibe. There are so many fun things to do in and around Daytona–not just going to the beach. There is Disney World in nearby Orlando, and there are also fun water parks you could check out like Volcano Bay, Daytona Lagoon and Daytona Sun and Splash Park.

OUTER BANKS, NC. The Outer Banks are so calming, with 200 miles of barrier islands and no nightlife to speak of. While it’s more of a family destination, there are many fun activities to do, like explore cool surf shops or the Cape Hatteras lighthouse.

BELEWS LAKE, STOKESDALE, NC. This local beach is well known among Northwest students. So many people go to Belews Lake during the summer to paddleboard, wakeboard, swim or jet ski.

There are plenty of places near and far to enjoy some sunshine. In other words, spring break is the time to relax and have fun to clear your mind. See you on the beach!
