Vikings head to final four with 3-0 win over Hough

The boys’ soccer team continued their playoff run with a 3-0 shutout victory over Hough in the third round of state playoffs. Junior Reid Rouse got the Vikings on the board in the first two minutes with an assist from sophomore Ali Al-Qaq. Rouse would later assist senior Braden Champion’s goal to give the team a 2-0 lead for the remainder of the half. Al-Qaq added a third goal for the Vikings in the second half with an assist by sophomore Aidan McMulkin. Junior goalkeeper Spencer Houlden added another shutout win to the season–the second in state playoffs. The Vikings will battle Myers Park for the 4A West regional title and a spot in the state championship; the game will be at Myers Park onĀ  March 23 with a starting time yet to be announced as of March 21.
