The night began with the third face off of the Varsity girls powerhouses. The Vikings and Ragsdale Tigers were neck and neck for the whole game with the largest lead being 7 points. The Tigers ended the game with 18 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Vikings.

Northwest’s lack of outside shots and multitude of turnovers was their ultimate demise against Ragsdale. The final score was 45-38, after a momentum change by Ragsdale’s junior Diamond Monroe scored a three pointer to get the first lead over Northwest. Monroe lead all scoring with 18 points.

Senior Reagan Kargo of the Vikings scored 16 points and senior Thalia Carter scored 6. Before the game, Kargo was honored with her 1500 point of her high school career. Seniors Christian Hampton and Dean Reiber were also honored with their 1000 point balls.

After the girls’ game, the seniors were honored with their families at mid-court.

Seniors for the boys included Dean Reiber, Robbie Boulton, Christian Hampton, Khari Carson, Brandon Thomas, Shaq Marsh, and Josh Humphrey. The senior girls included Reagan Kargo, Megan Harkey, Thalia Carter, Hannah Baker, and student coach, Yazmine Abdelhaq. Senior Cheerleaders were also honored, they included Kayla Hancock, Claire Surette, Ava Berry, Taylor Harrison, Layton Howard, Mya Hulse, Avery Leggett, and Mackenna Myers.

The boys’ team had a handled win against the Tigers with a score of 100-69. Hampton lead with 26 points, Reiber had 17 and sophomore Connor Ballou had 10. Ballou got the game to triple digits with a three pointer in the end of the fourth.
