A new movie came out on March 16, 2018, named Love, Simon. This movie was a book written by Becky Albertalli which was named Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda. This is a story about a 17-year-old boy who is gay, but no one knows about it. His friends or even his family don’t know that he is gay, and when there’s an email comes through gossip page saying there’s another guy who is gay. Simon reaches out to the guy and they write to each other back and forth. Later on, though his emails get into the wrong hands and he gets blackmailed.  While being in high school the societal pressures of ongoing who you should be versus who you want to be.

In this movie, it shows the struggle that a teenager can go through when they aren’t conforming to the societal norms. This movie is heartfelt, loving a romantic movie that becomes a classic for today’s generation. By just watching this movie some people would be less likely to watch because of their opinions, but this movie is more than just opinions. This movie shows the struggle kids have. The bullying behind coming or even losing friends.

This movie is another romance movie that just captures your heart, but the big difference is that it’s two guys who try to find themselves even though society isn’t approving. This movie a good watch if you are into teen romance and how they go through all of the struggles.
