It is not a typical Wednesday night at Northwest. The smell of pizza, burgers and tacos fill the air as friends and family all gather onto the football field. Senior and junior girls put on red or black jerseys with a goal in mind: to win.

It is the day of the Northwest Powderpuff game. Powderpuff is a game of flag football where the girls play and the guys dress up to cheer them on. This is a chance for the senior and junior girls to prove which class is better. This game as been a tradition that has been going on for many years. This year however, food trucks from Greensboro has come to serve food to the people watching the game.

The game ended with a tie of 12-12 a change from last year’s senior win.
